Our mission

...conducting fundamental research that has to lead to the development of the key elements of robotic assistive technology, as well as to the clinical application and evaluation of this technology, resulting in intelligent (i.e. adaptive to human needs), active (i.e. actively powered), assistive (i.e. enforcing power) devices.

...creating an inspiring environment/platform where actors of social, academic and industrial fields can meet each other around this theme, where they address the challenges together, and work out solutions together. Ultimately it is our ambition to drive the creation of a new technological sector in Flanders centered around robotic assistive technology.
